In recent communication with Hockey Canada, they have advised us (the ODHA) that the Developmental II Coaching Program has been reclassified and is no longer recognized as a Certification Clinic but now will be classified as a Professional Development Workshop for coaches.
This new reclassification within the NCCP now removes the requirements for candidates to attend a Developmental II clinic in order to be eligible to participate in a High Performance 1 seminar.
As a result of this change by Hockey Canada please be advised that we will not be hosting the proposed Developmental II clinic which had been tentatively scheduled for June 18-20.
Considering this new development, the ODHA will be looking at the possibility of hosting a High Performance 1 as early as next year or within the next two years.
